Brighouse Swimming Club held their internal gala 4 on Monday night which incorporated four local primary schools.

Pupils from St Josephs, Bailiff Bridge, St Johns Clifton and St Chad’s participated in relay team events alongside the club swimmers who took part in individual events.

Sisters Poppy Layden-Fritz and Emily Layden-Fritz set new club records in their events and won five Gold medals between them.

Cameron Price was yet again on top form, setting new club records and taking home his share of the Gold medals.

In the schools events, St John’s Clifton A Team won the first place gold medals in the 4x1 length freestyle relay whilst Bailiff Bridge took the gold medals in the 4x1 medley relay. A big well done to all the schools for great swimming and fantastic team spirit.

In the Under 12 Boys 100m Freestyle, Oliver Blamires took the gold, Luke Winterbottom the Silver, Spencer Snowden the Bronze and the 4th place ribbon was won by Nicholas Hudson.

In the Under 12 Girls 100m Freestyle, Emily Layden-Fritz took the Gold, Ellis Kaye the Silver, Laura Whittington the Bronze and in 4th place was Thea Jones.

Another great night of swimming organised by the volunteers of Brighouse Swimming Club.
